Historically this room was likely the master suite with an optional adjoining room that served as the nursery, now our Bayview guest room. Legend has it that General Grant slept in the master suite so appropriately named.

This room has a Queen size bed with a half canopy. Located on the second floor of the mansion it has a private entrance accessible from the outside. Windows overlook both the Mississippi River and the beautiful grounds. Shared balcony on the backside of the Mansion. Private newly renovated bathroom with a walk-in shower.
This grand suite is the premier sleeping room in the main house. There is a large sitting room, ideal for a hospitality suite for small group reception. There is a wet bar, microwave, and small refrigerator. Adjoining the grand suite is a private bedroom with King size bed. Should a family want to rent the room it may also ajoin to room 7. The John & Elizabeth Grand suite is located on the second floor of the mansion with access from the balcony. Windows overlook both the Mississippi River and the beautiful grounds. The large marble bathroom has been newly renovated and has a walk-in double-head shower lit by an antique chandelier.

Due to our intimate size, every effort is made to honor a request for a specific room; however, Cedar Grove Mansion can only guarantee the “room category” when you make a reservation online. In the event the “room category” reserved is not available on the day of check-in, Cedar Grove will upgrade a reservation to a higher category room at no additional charge.
